Kick back in some comfy armchair and take a leisurely tour of the spot where Vale Creek gives a cheeky nod to the Macquarie River. This slice of history has seen its fair share of action, from the bustling Chinese market gardeners to the locals who once called Havannah and Vale Streets home, along with the riverbank where even the animals found a nice patch of grass to graze. Let's not forget the Denison Foundry, Dewar's brickworks on lower Durham Street, and the iconic iron railway bridge from 1876 – just think of it as the Instagram-worthy backdrop of yesteryear.

For a mere $10, you'll get some light refreshments and plenty of tales from the past to chew on. Just remember that you'll need to book a spot since this isn't a free-for-all.
