Get ready to put on your dancing shoes because Big Band Blast is rolling back into Bathurst for another fabulous weekend of swinging tunes. The launch concert kicks off with the local legends, Bathurst's very own CONnections Big Band from the Mitchell Conservatorium. After they've warmed up the crowd, brace yourself for The Admiral's Own Big Band courtesy of the Royal Australian Navy. They say the only thing missing from this concert will be a dance floor, so be prepared to tap your feet and perhaps embarrass yourself with a spontaneous jig.

Now in its 11th year, Big Band Blast isn't just about the music; it's a chance for high school big bands from all over Australia to strut their stuff and get some real performance experience. The lineup promises a journey through time from the classic swing sounds of the 30s and 40s to some modern twists, ensuring there's something to please every ear. So, grab your tickets—cheap enough that you won't need to sell a kidney—and come join the fun. Just remember to leave the squeaky shoes at home.
