It's quite the trek from Tipperary to Limekilns, not your average Sunday drive. Picture this: four months on a ship and then three years of navigating to finally land in Bathurst and find your way to Limekilns. In 1859, 26-year-old Patrick Chifley touched down in Sydney, and right after, he tied the knot with Mary Dee from Galway. Fast forward to 1862, and these two had settled into the Bathurst area, laying the groundwork for their family saga. You may know about their notable grandson, Ben Chifley, but how did it all begin?

So grab a chair, pack a picnic, and prepare to immerse yourself in the rich history of Patrick and the Chifleys of Limekilns. Once the tour wraps up, lunch and refreshments will be waiting for you, because nothing says "heritage" quite like a good feed.
