Got some time on your hands this Sunday, 25 May 2025? Why not roll up your sleeves and join us down by Queen Charlotte's Vale Creek for a bit of a green thumb adventure? We're kicking things off at 10 am near the Alpha Street Levee and Police Paddock. Whether you're a plant whisperer or just someone who thought they were signing up for a picnic, we'll be planting native trees, shrubs, and grasses that will eventually be the trendy new hangout for the local wildlife. Just imagine the stories they'll tell when they're all grown up.

And don't worry if you're not a gardening guru – no previous experience is required. We'll provide all the plants and gear you need, so all you have to bring is your trusty water bottle, some sunscreen, and a hat to shield you from the sun like a savvy outdoor adventurer. Wear something comfortable for getting a little dirt on your shoes. And because we're all about rewards, stick around after the planting for a free BBQ lunch that we promise will be worth the effort. Oh, and did we mention this is completely free? See you there, ready to get your hands a little muddy.
